APPOINTMENT OF LEGAL ADVISOR FOR LEGAL SERVICES
Punjab Transport Company previously known as Lahore Transport Company, a public company limited by guarantee set
up under section 42 of Companies Ordinance, 1984 repealed with Companies Act 2017, has been notified by the
Government of the Punjab for the purposes of Chapter V-A of the [Punjab] Motor Vehicles Ordinance, 1965 (XIX of 1965)
in the notified area of the territorial jurisdiction of the Punjab. Such appointment shall be governed by the instruction of
the Government of the Punjab (Law and Parliamentary Affairs) for the engagement of legal advisor and special advocates
by the statuary/ autonomous body under the administrative control of the Government of the Punjab. Punjab Transport
Company intends to invite separate sealed bids for each lot from experienced and capable Legal Advisors for below
mentioned two lots.

i. Advise and provide support in Legal Opinions
on legal issues on all legal matters of Punjab
Transport Company relating to laws of
Pakistan, especially, compliance with the
requirements of relevant laws and regulations,
which have a bearing on the Client and the
Project from a legal perspective.
ii. Defending /filing of court cases or providing
other legal services to PTC. Representing and
defending the Client before the Courts of Law
including but not limited to All High Courts of
Pakistan as the case may be / Federal Shariat
Court / Supreme Court for the cases either
filed by the Client against Consultants/
Contractors/ Suppliers Sub Contractors/
Partners /Employees etc. or Vice Versa.
iii. Drafting and/or vetting of all legal documents
including legal contracts, notices, replies etc;
iv. Replies to all legal notices in order to help the
Client in sorting out issues out of court(s)
through Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR)
mechanism and attend any other meetings
when requested by the client;

Contractors/ Partners /Employees etc. or Vice
Versa.
iii. Drafting and/or vetting of all legal documents
including legal contracts, notices, replies etc;
iv. Replies to all legal notices in order to help the
Client in sorting out issues out of court(s)
through Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR)
mechanism;
Interested bidders are requested to submit sealed bid for only one lot, clearly mention tender (lot) name on envelopes
and marked to the Chairman Tender Committee at Punjab Transport Company, 4th Floor, 97-B-D/I, Liberty Roundabout,
L.E.P Building Gulberg-III, Lahore on or before 31st January, 2023 at 11:00am along with documents as mentioned in
TOR's, the bids shall be opened at 11:30am on the same day in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who
may choose to be present.
Terms & Conditions:-
1. Processing fee for each lot in the form of Demand Draft/Pay Order/CDR of Rs.2,000/- (non-refundable) favoring
Punjab Transport Company must be attached with the Technical Bid. No bid will be entertained without processing
fee. Other terms and conditions of bidders are mentioned in the TOR's.
2. The bids submitted after the above referred closing date and time shall be rejected and returned without being
opened.
3. Each bidder may choose/participate in any one lot. A bidder who submits or participates in more than one lot, will be
disqualified.
4. PTC may reject all bids or proposal at any time prior to the acceptance of a bid or proposal. PTC shall upon request
communicate to any individual who submitted a bid or proposal, the grounds for its rejection of all bids or proposals,
but it not required to justify those grounds.
5. The Tender Notice and TOR's can be downloaded from the website of Punjab Transport
(http://www.ptc.gop.pk) or can be collected from below mentioned PTC office during office hours.
